Congratulations to St. Paul’s class of 2018!

On Saturday June 9th, St. Paul’s Catholic School held 8th grade graduation.

 

Fr. Naples administers the sacraments of Baptism and First Holy Communion

Logan was Baptized and received First Holy Communion and Xander received First Holy Communion at the last school Mass of the year.  Family members, the student body and community members also attended the Mass.

Baccalaureate Mass celebrated for 8th graders.

Fr. Naples celebrated the Baccalaureate Mass for the 8th grade class.  Family members, friends, the whole student body, staff, parishioners and an honor guard from the K of C also attended.

Patriot’s Pen Essay Contest Winners Announced

The VFW announced the winners of this year’s Patriot’s Pen essay contest.  An essay of between 300-500 words on the theme “America’s Gift to My Generation,” was submitted.  Winners from St. Paul’s were:  Alicia Socia (2nd place), Sam Coe (3rd place) and Chantal Poirier (3rd place).  Mrs. Susan Guilmette, language arts/social studies teacher,  was also honored for her support of the VFW program.

Sister Gelsy of the Vocationist Sisters visits students to promote vocations.

Sister Gelsy visited St. Paul’s to talk with students in their religion classes about vocations and then invited several interested students to visit her at the convent in Derby Line to further encourage their interests in vocations.

Evening of the Arts musical performances and art work exhibits a success.

Mrs. Laber and Miss Chantilly received plants from grateful students at the recent Evening of the Arts showcase of student talents in Art and Music.

Many St. Paul’s Alumni make the sacrament of Confirmation

Several recent St. Paul’s graduates joined with others from Most Holy Trinity parish in the Confirmation Mass with Bishop Christopher Coyne and Fr. Timothy Naples.

Third Grade Science Fair Winners

Third Grade Science Fair Winners

Third grade winners are: Bella Laber, Nonye Ezenwa and Brennan Nagle (pictured with Principal Beloin and their science teacher Miss Jennifer Wilson).

Fourth grade winners are: Isabella Hanover, Bailey Ingalls and Mia Lussier.

Fifth grade winners are: Seth Locke-McCallister, Matthew Poginy and Noah Zembrowski (with Principal Beloin and their and science/tech. teacher Mr. Frank Trebilcock).

Sixth grade winners are: Morgan Perry, Maria Taylor and Garrett Perron.

All winners are invited to participate in the regional science fair to be held at Lyndon State College in May.

Students qualify for nationals!

At the recent Vermont History Day competition, several students qualified to compete in the National History Day in Washington, DC later this spring.  (see details on the 7/8 page)
