Covid reopening Procedures
The uncertain times have the staff at Saint Paul’s Catholic School in unprecedented times. “We are in this together”! We are doing as much as possible to keep our students and staff as safe as can be. The situation is evolving on a daily basis. As of July 27, 2020, we have published the following document outlining what we plan on doing to allow for face to face instruction of students. Feedback is welcome by appointment or email to Mrs. Beloin.

Day Care Vermont State Subsidy
Pre-School and After School Care assistance for 12 and under is available based on a income sensitivity. A family of 5 making $61,500 can still qualify for 10% help.
IMMUNIZATIONS
Immunizations are required before enrolling based on the requirements of the CDC.
P 17 of our handbook:
Each child admitted to St. Paul’s Catholic School must have evidence of a successful vaccination for diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough and polio. Also required is a rubella / rubeola vaccination and tuberculin skin test. Hearing and vision screening are given during the school year when available. In rare circumstances, the medical and religious exemptions will be considered. The religious exemption will need to be presented to the Pastor of the school. The Catholic Medical Association states that: “We think that vaccination is a moral good, that it’s good for patients, and that it has benefited society greatly. We have a responsibility as moral agents to protect the common good and to immunize ourselves and our children against communicable disease.”
We have a 97.6 % immunization rate as reported in our Immunizations report.

In 2018, the teachers trained in a program called ALICE. This is a response protocol to a violent intruder. Learn more by watching this YouTube clip (rating PG):

As part of the Diocese of Burlington’s continuing commitment to protect children and young people, all adults who work with children and youth are required to participate in child abuse prevention training, complete a background check, and sign a Code of Conduct. The training program for adults currently used within the Diocese of Burlington is Virtus. To learn more, or to participate in the program, visit the “Child Safety” section of www.vermontcatholic.org or contact your parish office. Thank you.
